About the Role

Progress Libs is seeking a motivated and strategic Organizing Director to join our team.
The Organizing Director will play a pivotal role in identifying and overseeing projects, creating event schedules, and ensuring the successful execution of fundraisers, panels, canvass launches, and other events.
This is a remote position with travel (paid for). As of now this position is not paid

Responsibilities

- Identify and assess potential projects for Progress Libs, aligning with the organization's mission and goals.

- Oversee and guide the development and execution of all projects, providing strategic direction and support to project leaders along with being a project leader yourself.

- Create and manage a comprehensive schedule of fundraisers, panels, canvass launches, and general events.

- Take charge of planning and coordinating events, ensuring successful execution and high levels of participant engagement.

- Collaborate with the Finance Director to integrate fundraising goals into the overall event schedule.

- Foster collaboration and communication among project leaders and volunteers.

- Monitor and evaluate the success of projects and events, making recommendations for improvement.

- Ensure strong community ties and a connection with volunteers and the PL brand

Qualifications

- Previous experience in organizing, project management, or a related field.

- Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate teams.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.

- A passion for progressive values and the mission of Progress Libs.

- Flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Proficiency in using relevant organizational and project management tools.
